Galveston Fun Map (click on map)

We had planned to attend the Galveston Air show during April, however it was raining the day we wanted to go so we went to Katy Mill instead.  We were able to obtain some photos however of the show that I've placed below  After our Nasa trip we did visit Galveston and we road the ferry, toured the Island and ate at a famous restaurant that over looks the ocean.

Family

This is where we choose to lunch!
The Ocean Grill Restaurant, the only restaurant on Galveston Island that actually extends over the sparkling Gulf of Mexico, offers some of the finest, freshest seafood on the Isle, and a glorious atmosphere. Featuring a delicious variety of both grilled and fried recipes, The Ocean Grill also is home to a spacious, full-service bar. Dining is available either inside in air-conditioned comfort, or on the breathtaking outer deck.

Quite simply, we believe that the combination of our fine cuisine, the relaxing Gulf breezes, and the gentle sounds of the surf will offer you one of the finest dining experiences you've ever had.

The Strand

The Strand is a National Historic Landmark District in Galveston Texas.
There are a lot of good photo opportunities in the Strand area. Three museum in walking distance. The Elissa, An Iron Barque of 1877. I have photos of this ship under my gallery "Galveston". Also the Railroad Museum and the Ocean Star, a offshore drilling rig and museum. Up and down the Strand they are many restaurants and drinking establishment. They are also many shops here.
