Houston Zoo and Science Museum and Imax Theater

Located in Hermann Park are the Museum of Natural Science and the Houston Zoo. The zoo’s recently enlarged McGovern Lake gives visitors a chance to take pleasure in the native landscape while watching children play at the state-of-the-art Playground for All Children. Hermann Park is one of the most beautiful city parks in the country. Close to 400 acres, it has walking trails, biking, picnicking areas, one of the city’s finest golf courses and outstanding performances at the Miller Outdoor Theater (a large hill beside the theater allows anyone to picnic and enjoy a concert of show free of charge). The land for this Park was donated by the Hermann Family for all of the Houston families to enjoy.
