Bill Moore age 62, of Elmer, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born May 5, 1943, in Altus, Oklahoma, to John W. Moore and Ruby Elizabeth (Maxwell) Moore. On November 15, 1991, in Altus, Oklahoma, Bill and Shirley Threadgill were united in marriage. Bill worked for several farmers in Jackson County, including Bill Southall, Phinis Lee, and Bill Hicks before he retired. After he retired, he enjoyed working with his horses and spending time with his family and friends. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Elmer, Oklahoma. Bill is survived by his loving wife Shirley of the home in Elmer; two step-sons, James Vinson and his wife Linda of Altus, Oklahoma, Adam Vinson of Lawton, Oklahoma; one sister Sarah Smith of Elmer, Oklahoma; six brothers, Ike Moore of Humphrey, Oklahoma, Jack Moore of Moore, Oklahoma, Jessie Moore of Blair, Oklahoma, Louis Moore of Altus, Oklahoma, Larry Moore and his wife Edna of Arkansas, and Gerry Moore of Altus, Oklahoma. He is also survived by four step-grandchildren, Kirstie Tynes, James Tynes, Megan Vinson and Rebecca Vinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Ruth Faye Raper, and one brother R.T. Moore.
