This purple and white stone is a wonderful healing and cleansing tool. It puts us in touch with our intuition and stimulates self-healing. It is marvelous for insomnia if kept under the pillow and helps straighten out the overemotional and frightened. If you have a headache, place the Amethyst on your forehead for relief.
Amethyst is a good beginners crystal and is a basic for any crystal user.

Known also as the 'water stone', it can prevent seasickness, get rid of water retention and help purify drinking water. It is especially good to place in your daily glass of water. Aquamarine also helps clear thinking and negativity.

As the name suggests, it helps people with blood disorders. It helps cleanse the blood and is believed to make us more courageous and able to face difficulties calmly.

Honored as a royal stone by the ancients, this blue and gold stone has always been believed to open the inner vision and to create a link between this world and the inner realm. High priests used to wear it ground up as eye makeup, and in jewely during rituals. It is good for anyone undergoing spiritual awakening or instruction in a particular religion.

This highly sensitive stone has had 'bad press' for years. There are many people who believe it is unlucky, but its reputation is the result of a story by the writer Sir Walter Scott - and has no truth in it at all! Opal does need to be treated with care, for it chips easily.
It's a water stone and loves being soaked in cold water and benefits from being left in the moonlight from time to time. Opals reveal the state of your physical and emotional energy, being dull when it is low and brilliant when it is high again.
