Introducing..."222" Hollow Stump Road

This is the story
that goes with this wonderful set of ceramic gnomes. Members who
have purchased these gnomes from me have asked about the story...so here
it is...
"Hollow Stump Road meanders along the
Chagrin River here in the Principality of Layke which is ruled by a
Wizard, Merrlyn. Hollow Stump Road is inhabited by Gnomes and they call
their glen Willby. They are known as the Willby Tree People and a rather
large population resides here drawn by the beauty, bounty and safety of
the river valley.
No one is certain how long the gnomes
have occupied the glen for gnome time is the opposite of mortal time and
sometimes reverses. A moment in gnome time can be many years in mortal
time - or can reverse so that a moment of mortal time is a hundred years
in gnome time!
A new family is moving into Stump Number
222. The new family is moving from the overpopulated downstream area where
the residents live beneath ground to the more upscale stump houses near
the Falls at the base of the mountain where sits Wayte Castle.
The family is busy cleaning and
renovating Number 222 which was recently vacated by its former resident -
the black bear. The old Buckeye Tree never looked better. With the new
small doors and windows to keep out rodents and predators, Number 222 is a
magnificent home, indeed, as gnome homes go."
In the next few newsletters I will
provide additional information on each of the seven gnomes that go with
this set. I purchased these molds. If you are interested in purchasing any
of these wee ceramic "plant keeper" size gnomes or the home please email
me at QueenGnome@foundus.com.
The current member price is $2 to $3 for each gnome and $20 for the house
UNPAINTED plus postage.
Next month
I will
tell you all about Gramps. He is the gnome snoozing with the book on his
lap. Except....well you will just have to wait until next month to find
out....QueenGnome.

My trip to Italy
by Dolomiti.
After a tedious and long time at middle school in Miami, Florida I was
looking forward to a snowy and fun time in Canazie, Italy, snow boarding
the Dolomites.
When I arrived I saw the most warming and fantastic sight that
would later spark my interest in Gnomes. I saw this old lady's gnome garden.
It was fantastic, there must have been all different
types of gnomes and
dwarves and gnome homes and elves and even Snow White. Up there in
the part
of Italy I was visiting I learned that they had a long tradition of
"Taking
care of the Little Folk". In the Morning they set out hot tea and hot
milk and
in the afternoon they set out water. What is very interesting is that
everywhere that I saw gnomes there was a hanging witch or goblin near. Two
weeks of researching and snow boarding had gone by and I had to get some
gnomes myself I found four gnomes that I adored and I bought all four of
them. I named them Dolomiti, Leopold, Henryetta, and Albert. Now back in
Miami, I remembered the gnomes and found Jani's site. Without hesitation I
joined and here I am now writing you this little story of my trip making
you
jealous... HeHeHe. Thank you for taking the time to read.
Peace and Harmony to all. Dolomiti
Dolomiti needs some HELP from members. He is thinking about updating the
world map of gnome sightings. Please provide him with some help! Place on
our bulletin board any places that you have seen gnomes. Including your own
homes! Give him the name of the closest major centre that would be shown on
a large world wall chart. Wonderful project Dolomiti....it will be fun to
see the end result. Email:
