Gnome Story #2
Good Day by Barbara (Queen Gnome) ribbon2.gif (1003 bytes)
Good day, my name is Willy. I am a gnome and you can see by my red felt hat and beard that I am a male. I shaved off my mustache because I wanted to be different. It will take years for it to grow back! I am just 150 years old and newly married. My wife, Tina is expecting her twins early in the new millennium.

Tonight I am off to the woods to assist any animals that may be in trouble.

I carry my axe to help me. Sometimes it is necessary to use my axe to obtain precious minerals from the earth to take home to my wife, Tina. She wants them for her potions which she uses to treat all different types of ailments. Tonight, she has asked me to bring home some gold which she will use to decorate a new volume of our "Secret Book" kept in the basement of our home. I built our home, with the help of other gnomes, under an old oak tree and the axe that I am holding was my main tool.

My uncle, the Sandman, is coming to visit us and Tina wants to show him how proud we are of our home and of course our volume of the Secret Book so I best get busy and find her some gold. She is preparing my favorite field mushroom dish for supper and afterwards we will enjoy a hot bath together before retiring for the day.

Remember, protect the environment by taking only what you need, and help those less fortunate by lending a helping hand whenever possible.

Sincerely, Willy.
