Gnome Story #3
A group of Gnomes lived in Gnomesville. At
regularly appointed times a Town Meeting FOR MEN ONLY was called by the leader Don Elder,
a fine man, had a strong sense of values, honor and valor. He was often seen
carrying an axe, for he was always ready to cope with an emergency such as a fallen
tree. He had a friend, Hunter, in another village. He
carried a rifle and a pipe. He had not yet heard that tobacco was
poisonous. Don Elder never approved either, so he tried to win his friend to
his set of values, but Hunter stood fast.
One day on the way home from a Town Meeting, Don Elder met lovely lady, Eldora. When he left there, they hugged and kissed. A neighbor quickly took a picture. Now I have a small music box with "Kissing Cousins" on it, so that will document my story. It was a pretty rural country area. In the distance there was a bird house in a tree. It was a "hangout" for the local birds and animals. Everybody agreed that Gnomesville was a happy place to live. They gave a rousing cheer whenever Don Elder walked by. |
