Love

Smiles
You walked through the barriers I had so carefully put up ......
As if they didn't exist...,
I was intrigued as to who this person was that had disarmed me.
Yet it is true, that only a person of compassion and tender love could have accomplished such a task....
With a gentle caress and splendid laughter you brightened my life
Now as I go about my daily deeds, something will bring you to mind
and I smile all over.

Touching Eternity
His words warmed my soul,
I smiled and felt a glow......
I floated away in his love,
My spirit gently smiling,
As I felt his soul touch mine
This love that transcends time.......
I cheer with recognition,
The lost love is revealed
Reaching for his hand,
I touch Eternity
To Darren Always,Jani......March'96

Revelation
The wind of time blows a constant pattern,
Like the changing ridges in the shifting sand.
A kaleidoscope of colors setting images...
In shadows and moonbeams.
Love travels through space....
Surrounding the spirit...
And enlightening the life form
A constant source of energy and joy
Acknowledgment is a revelation, I acknowledge you.
with love to my Darren, Jani March 20, 1996

(this poem is written for all those persons who get online chatting....living it up when all the time you are hurting inside and aching with loneliness...)

Mystery Man
She comes online...she's got to get away...
Looking for fun is what she'll say....
She laughs and she teases....And says what she pleases...
But her pain wasn't hidden as deep as she'd hoped...

One vulnerable night he appeared and he spoke...
Calling her name, he took her hand...
He touched her heart, this mystery man...
Speaking softly,he held her in his arms so tight...

Tears down her cheeks, on this vulnerable night...
They traveled together to a tropical place...
The waterfall mist wet on their face...
Then he kissed her as they sat on the sand...

"I am here," he whispered, this mystery man...
She turned toward him...to look in his eyes...
But shadows engulfed him...in a disguise...
How had he known to call out her name...

She knew that nothing would be the same...
She heard his sweet laughter...and warmth in the air...
And his love he gave freely...willing to share...
When time came to leave, she couldn't resist...

Wanting to see......he became one with the mist...
She wondered for hours...still on the sand...
Where had he come from? This mystery man...
Jani......1995

(again a poem to my husband...as I tried to think how our first meeting was going to be....when you get a chance you ought to read on this site Our Story!)
Touching you
He stepped out of the long hallway
Leaving the plane and his former life behind...
I saw him first....watching him look for me....
I wanted to call out his name but I was speechless....
My heart beat so loud that I was sure he could hear...
And then he turned and our eyes met...
He knew me in an instant....and smiled....
Slowly, we moved toward one another....
Eyes locked together...hearts beating harder....
Our hands meet....and then the tears...
No words are spoken.....his arms encircle me......
My arms around him...hands flat against his back.....
I savor the moment....holding him...him holding me....
Warmth....oh the warmth...his body against mine...
Still no words...as we hold one another for an eternity.....
Then he takes my chin and lifts my face to his....
I look into his eyes and melt inside....
Moving my one hand from around him...
I touch his cheek...gently
The world is moving in slow motion...
Slowly he moves toward me...as I move to meet his lips.....
Awwww they touch together....
Awwww cosmic energy surges throughout our beings...
Life has begun....we are home...

  • Visiting Ireland

  • Visiting Australia (NSW) especially

  • Having enough money to fix what needs fixing

  • Having two phone lines

  • Actually these things would all be nice but I am such a blessed person....I have a cute little home with nice neighbors...two lovely sons....the sweetest husband in the whole world....good parents and relatives close by.....good friends.....sense of humor.....my own business.....and so what that I'm not a millionaire....some millionaires don't have all I have!...so the above are just dreams cause it's good to have dreams...as long as you can appreciate what you do have and don't dwell on what you don't have.

Inspirational

They say if one understands himself,
he understands all people.
But I say to you, when one loves people,
he learns something about himself.

His Marvellous Works

The Little Joys

There's no time like the present
To do the little things,
Sing out in joy and chorus
And note the joy it brings.

There's nothing like a flower,
A loved one's tender kiss,
There's nothing like the little things
That hold a larger bliss.

Recall a special moment -
A joy that brings a tear,
There's nothing like sweet little things
To show that God is near.
James Joseph Huesgen

The Little Hummingbird

I was weeding flowers
When I heard a little sound
Of something which was in distress,
And when I looked around,
I saw a tiny hummingbird,
Securely caught within
A spider's web, and quickly
Reached up to rescue him.
What a gigantic spider
Slid down to claim his prey
And just in time I snatched
The frightened hummingbird away.
It did not struggle in my hand,
Which held it carefully
And I could tell within it's eyes,
The small one trusted me.
So I removed the spider's
Sticky web from little wings,
And marveled at the beauty
God bestows on tiny things.
And then it cocked it's little head
And gave me one last stare,
Circled once above my head,
.....And flew into the air.

God Provides

I choose not to share my troubles,
Nor the scars down deep inside;
But I've found through all adversity
God always does provide.

When our pathway seems the darkest
And life's storms are all about,
We've used all our resources
And it seems there's no way out;
That's when He sends a miracle -
Moves mountains - calms the sea,
But oftentimes the miracle
Is worked inside of me.

He gives us strength for every need,
Gives joy in time of sorrow
And I know with deep assurance
He'll be there for me tomorrow.

  • My kittie Cheeky purring first thing in the morning her hello's

  • Reaching out at night and touching my husbands hand...and having him gently wrap his fingers around mine...

  • Hearing the gentle rain outside my window

  • Wind in my hair

  • A loved one surprising me with a visit

  • Swimming.....I just love swimming

  • Cool enough nights that a cozy quilt is needed

  • Cuddling

  • Listening to beautiful music
